Finally we are in December and that means Tryhackme have released their Advent of Cyber that is path where they will release a new room for every day of December until 24th. So Christmas eve is the last day a room will be released!
And to sweeten the pot you every room and day you participate and solve the rooms, you will get a raffle ticket and will have the chance to win prizes, they are raffle out over $50 000 worth of prices, so you will learn a lot a lot of new information and knowledge and even better if you are a beginner in Cyber Security, want to get into it or is just curios about Cyber Security?
Then this is your chance, yo do not even need a “hacking-computer”, you can do everything within the browser as well, Tryhackme have an “attack-box” that you can access in your browser as well, so it is very easy to get started and you do need to install anything!
Today is 2nd of December and we have 2 rooms already released,
1th of December they released a ChatBot, basically a ChatGPT but themed and made for Tryhackme and the Christmas story that is being told.
2nd room was about Python and Jupyter Notebooks, the theme of the task was log-analysis.
The best thing with these rooms is if you are more experienced you can just dive right in and only need to read the story to get the progression and if you are new and do not have any clue, there is a good amount of hints and description that will make you learn all the stuff you need to solve the room.
One new thing for 2023 is that they have released a Side-quest! So this are not for the beginners, the rooms are ranging from hard to Insane in difficulty, so first you need to find all the clues to find the rooms and then you need to solve them as well. I have found the first room and believe me it is a bit harder!
It is a really fun challenge every day and we get a youtuber going through the challenges as well everyday so we even get content!
